Preventive medical check-ups

Health takes centre stage
A preventive medical check-up is used for the early detection and prevention of diseases.
It includes a medical history, a clinical examination, blood and urine tests, blood pressure measurement and counselling on the individual's life situation and risk factors. In Austria, the general preventive medical check-up is available free of charge once a year for all insured persons from the age of 18.

Examination procedure
The check-up is divided into two appointments. The first appointment consists of a blood test (please come with an empty stomach), a urine test and possibly an ECG and spirometry. The second appointment consists of a detailed discussion, a physical examination and, if necessary, further examinations.
